Battery Disposal

1. Free return of used batteries

According to § 10 BattG. each seller is obligated for vehicle batteries a deposit of 7.50 € incl. VAT. if there is no waste battery when purchasing a new battery.
You can dispose of your waste battery free of charge, or alternatively at the recycling stations of your city or municipality.

The following disposal options are available:

1.1. Dispose of at the municipal collection point (recycling yard) or at the local store.

1.2. You will give the battery free of charge in one of our branches. The deposit will be paid to you on the spot.

1.3. In compliance with the regulations on dangerous goods, you send us the old battery, including a copy of our sales invoice, with sufficient postage. The deposit amount will be transferred to your account upon receipt.

For the reimbursement of the deposit amount based on a disposal document, the statutory periods apply. If the disposal document is older than 14 days, Autoshop Irl GmbH is not obliged to reimburse.

2. Meaning of the battery symbols
Batteries are marked with the symbol of a crossed out wheelie bin. Contaminated batteries are specially marked with chemical symbols. For batteries containing more than 0.0005 mass% of mercury, more than 0.002 mass% of cadmium or more than 0.004% by mass of lead, the chemical name of the respective pollutant used is under the garbage can symbol, where "Cd" stands for cadmium, "Pb "stands for lead, and" Hg "for mercury. You can also read this information again in the accompanying papers of the warren or in the user manual of the manufacturer.
