Depending on the selected configuration, the sound image changes significantly. Without additional weight, the resonant frequency remains in the upper range, achieving particularly fast impulse response and high efficiency. This tuning is perfect for volume-optimized setups and precise bass reproduction with maximum headroom. As the mass increases, the resonant frequency decreases, allowing the subwoofer to reproduce lower frequencies with greater emphasis. This is particularly advantageous for sealed enclosures or low-tuned bass reflex designs, as it allows for particularly voluminous and powerful bass reproduction.

The ability to adjust the moving mass allows the subwoofer to be precisely tuned to the respective enclosure volume and the acoustic conditions of the vehicle.
