Small door speakers or small under-seat subwoofers do not cause the passenger compartment or metal panels to resonate as much as comparatively large 15" subwoofers. Even new luxury vehicles may already have better insulation ex works than simpler or older vehicles. Since the intended use can vary greatly, HiFonics offers different quality levels depending on the power of the system or requirements: HiFonics ZEUS 100dB and ZEUS 120dB AluButyl insulation material achieves very good results for most vehicles. If more powerful audio components are used or if higher insulation is required, the even more effective AluButyl ZEUS 140dB is recommended. For those who want to crank up the volume in their vehicle or simply want to play it safe, HiFonics recommends the ZEUS 160dB, which has the highest damping properties. It dampens sheet metal almost perfectly, as it has an even better internal density and an even higher mechanical loss factor.
