Anyone who uses very powerful amplifiers in their vehicle is familiar with the problem: when bass notes kick in, the nominal 12-volt electrical system "breaks down," which is noticeable, among other things, by the flickering lights in time with the music.
The problem: although a car battery is very powerful, its high internal resistance means that it is unable to deliver fast current pulses.
However, these are needed to enable very powerful amplifiers to reproduce bass sounds cleanly and clearly.
With the new hybrid buffer capacitors from the ZEUS EXTREME ZXT series, such problems are a thing of the past.
Thanks to modern hybrid technology, which uses an electrolyte fluid and a polymer as the film base, it is possible to accommodate up to 10 farads of capacity in compact housings.
At the same time, the technology ensures very low internal series resistance (ESR) so that power is available at lightning speed.
ZEUS EXTREME ZXT capacitors deliver the stored extra power exactly when the subwoofer amplifier IMMEDIATELY needs a lot of energy for the heavy bass response.
Afterwards, the energy released is recharged from the battery in the Powercap for the next attack.
The capacitor can thus buffer and smooth voltage peaks by absorbing excess energy and releasing it again when needed. A
positive side effect is that the service life of a vehicle battery can be extended by using a buffer capacitor.
