Alpine KIT-802T5 - Installation kit

The 8 installation kit for the Volkswagen T6 & T5 has been specifically designedto overcome the challenge of the extremely low angle of the T6 & T5 dashboard. A sunshade included in the scope of delivery increases the readability of the display in poor lighting conditions.
All parts for mechanical assembly as well as an adapter that continues to support the steering wheel remote control and the car radio display in the instrument cluster (MFA) are included in the scope of delivery. This set also displays the factory comfort functions such as parking sensors (PDC) and climate display on the X802D-U . An antenna adapter with phantom power and a power adapter to Power-Quadlock are included in the scope of delivery.
The installation set KIT-802T5, combined with the new X802D-U / X802DC-U, offers state-of-the-art navigation with navigation arrow display in the multifunction display, paired with DAB+, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay compatibility.

Designed for Volkswagen T6 & T5 (7H)

The KIT-802T5 has been developed exclusively for installation in the VW T6 & T5 (7H) model year 2009 and newer to meet the challenge of the extremely flat angle of the T6 & T5 dashboard. A sunshade included in the delivery increases the readability of the display in poor lighting conditions. It fits into the dashboard with a very high-quality frame in piano lacquer black. The system is supplied with a wiring harness, CAN bus interface and active antenna adapter. The X802D-U is not included in the KIT-802T5 and must be purchased separately.

Multifunction steering wheel support

The Alpine system communicates perfectly with your vehicle's multifunction steering wheel. This means that you do not lose this practical function when you upgrade to the Alpine system. You have control over volume, telephone (answer/hang up), track search forward/backward and other functions. And if a smartphone is connected to the system, you can even activate voice control such as "Siri" via the steering wheel.

Multifunction display (MFA) support

The multifunction display (MFA) in the instrument cluster is connected to the Alpine system and can display station names, song title and artist information, caller names, navigation arrows and much more.

Retention of the visual representation of parking sensors

If your vehicle is equipped with original parking sensors, this functionality is also retained when upgrading to the Alpine system. The parking sensor system is connected to the Alpine display to clearly show obstacles when parking the vehicle. The 2nd generation of Alpine navigation has a parking sensor display with a significantly improved detailed view.

Retention of the visual representation of the climate display

The Alpine system gives you visual feedback for the selected temperature of the driver and passenger, climate status, seat heating, selected air vents and much more. This screen is automatically displayed for a few seconds when one of the named settings is changed.
