With the KVX200, Ampire is launching a new rearview camera on the European market, specifically designed for use on vans, panel vans, and motorhomes. The well-known problem: A rearview camera cannot easily be mounted on vehicles with rear doors. While a conventional surface-mounted camera can be aimed downwards, the rear of many vehicles is slightly rounded at the top. A normal rearview camera would detect this curve and thus obscure the trailer hitch, running board, or bumper.
With the special housing of the rearview camera, the camera module itself is positioned beyond the curve, capturing the entire rear wall, bumper, etc. This makes precise maneuvering possible, especially when only a few centimeters are involved. The camera module's angle can be adjusted to perfectly suit your vehicle's conditions.
Suitable for universal roof mounting on vans and buses such as the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter, Fiat Ducato, Volkswagen Crafter, and similar vehicles.
