MPK 1650.3 PRO

The car loudspeaker system MPK 1650.3 is the top 2-way system of the Mille PRO series. The system uses the tweeter MP 28.3 with a diameter of 28 mm and thus inherits all the technological features of the Mille Legend ML 28.3. The geometry of the Tetolon calotte maximizes the typical emission of off-axis hearing. The rear acoustic chamber with damping materials helps to extend the frequency response to lower frequencies and allows a resonant frequency of only 900 Hz. In this way, the crossover frequency between the woofer and woofer can be lowered, which improves the sound in the dashboard of the car. The massive neodymium motor minimizes nonlinearity and manages the music program with highly dynamic transients. The CCAW voice coil made of copper-plated aluminum wire guarantees a particularly lightweight and solid mounting. These technological elements interact with each other, resulting in a high-frequency extension of 28 kHz - a record for a tweeter with a 28mm voice coil. An elegant and compact angled tweeter post is supplied with the system: this allows for easy installation on both the A-pillars and on the dashboard. The right angle of the tweeter improves the stereo sound image, which enhances the listening pleasure.

The electro-acoustic parameters of the MP 165P.3 woofer have been shaped to give it the pure and robust sound of an authentic mid-bass engineered for highly dynamic systems. The voice coil with the generous height of 14 mm has a nominal impedance of 3 Ω, in conjunction with increased load capacity. These features allow maximum utilization of Hertz HCP and HDP power, as well as stable 2 Ω electronics. The 95 mm ferrite magnet allows a linear diaphragm deflection of the voice coil of +/- 4.5 mm, which ensures maximum control at all times. The Boundary Free Surround moves more air, and the V-cone® profile improves lateral dispersion for best listening conditions in the car. The high-quality aluminum alloy basket neutralises unwanted vibrations.

The crossover MPCX 165.3 creates the optimal sound balance between the MP 28.3 tweeter and the MP 165P.3 woofer. It features bi-metallic capacitors with polyester dielectric for maximum sound transparency, and air-powered inductors made of pure copper wire up to 1mm in diameter, eliminating saturation. It also has wire wound resistors with low parasitic inductance. The Hi-Contour two-position control offers the possibility to precisely determine the frequency response of the system and to optimize it according to the different speaker positions. Above all, listeners can tune in to their favorite sound, thanks to the three-position control for the tweeter's emission level, with 2 dB (+ 2/0 / -2 dB) attenuation.
