Low installation depths for speakers are becoming increasingly important for many applications, but flat speakers often sound rather thin in the bass range due to their limited excursion and represent a musical compromise. With the newly developed BRUTUS BRX series, HiFonics has succeeded brilliantly in changing this. Even the 2-way BRX6.2C system with a nominal size of 16.5 cm not only fits into almost any opening with an installation depth of just 42 mm, it also impresses with its excellent bass performance. This is primarily due to the completely newly developed carbon fiber membrane, which is extremely stable yet very light—a must, especially for flat speakers. A cable crossover relieves the 20 mm fabric neodymium tweeter of low frequencies. The compact design of the crossover also makes installation easy.
