The ZEUS series has been synonymous with power and excellent sound in the HiFonics range for many years. For the first time, in addition to component systems and coaxial speakers, individual components such as high-quality cast aluminum midrange speakers and bass speakers are now available, enabling 3-way combinations. The woofer in the component set (available separately as ZX6.2W) comes with a cast aluminum basket and an aluminum phase plug. The sandwich membrane consists of a triple glass fiber composite material, which is particularly light yet extremely stable. The frequency response is extremely linear and requires hardly any corrections through "crossover tricks." The powerful 14-ounce magnet drive, which drives a very large 30.5 mm voice coil, provides plenty of power. This enables a total mechanical excursion of up to +/- 11 mm. The 25 mm ZX6.2T fabric neodymium tweeter, which is also available separately, with a coupling volume (resonance frequency 700 Hz) covers a particularly wide frequency range up to well over 24 kHz in a very linear manner.

The highlight of the 2-way component set, however, is that it is already prepared for 3-way operation: the 7.5 cm optional ZXM3 midrange driver can be easily connected to the ZXO-2 crossover: simply switch the jumpers in the crossover to 3-way, connect the midrange driver with bandpass crossover, and you're done. The midrange driver also features outstanding components such as a cast aluminum basket, an aluminum cone, a large 25 mm voice coil, an extra rear-ventilated spider, and a powerful neodymium magnet.
