The RSC 165, a 2-way 16.5 cm (6.5") high-end component system from ETON, is the new top performer in the absolute top class – thanks to newly developed cone technology. The specially constructed aramid fiber fleece, foam, and paper sandwich cone of the woofer features additional embossed rib reinforcements and is very light and extremely rigid. Thanks to its open-pored, soft surface structure, interference is effectively minimized.

The cone features an inverted aluminum dust cap and ensures a particularly pleasant, smooth sound with a first-class richness and contour. Bass is delivered powerfully and with explosive dynamics, razor-sharp and spot-on! The membrane impresses even with the smallest signals: the finest details are reproduced with ultra-precise precision. Added to this is vocal reproduction with detailed midrange for unprecedented stage depth.

The audiophile woofer/midrange driver comes in the classic ETON die-cast aluminum basket with a double-braced design – an extremely flat construction that's easy to install: The RSC 165 fits into the door openings of almost all vehicles! The strong ferrite magnet is enclosed between a CNC-machined pole and base plate and features a large core bore. This, along with the additional ventilation openings in the basket, ensures optimal cooling—even during extended use!

The woofer is supported by an ultra-precise, fine-tuning 25 mm aluminum-ceramic tweeter. Its three-layer membrane is very lightweight and reproduces the finest nuances with pinpoint accuracy. Driven by a powerful neodymium magnet in the ventilated coupling volume with reflection compensation technology (RCFS), the tweeter guarantees perfect high-frequency enjoyment. Efficiency-optimized, space-saving cable frequency converters with level adjustment (0/+2 dB) complete the set.

The RSC 165 is made in Germany and can be combined with the separately available RSC 80 midrange driver to create a 3-way system.
