The MERCURY MRX168A under-seat active subwoofer measures 26 x 19.5 cm, making it several centimeters smaller than conventional subwoofer systems of this type. The powerful bass produced by this small active system is guaranteed to amaze every listener. Such small enclosures generate very high pressure during operation, which would destroy standard membranes. For this reason, the MRX168A uses a special oval-shaped aluminum membrane that can withstand even the highest pressures. The Class AB amplifier used is anything but small. With a good 100 watts RMS, it has the built-in Alucone woofer with a 36 mm voice coil and powerful drive perfectly under control. Thanks to the short-circuit-proof 10-pin connector, the active system can also be quickly and easily removed if necessary.
