Audison APBMW S8-4.2

Subwoofers for BMW and Mini 

Audison has developed a 200mm flat frame underseat woofer for BMW and MINI. These can be used as a replacement for the OEM amplification, but best results are achieved when used in a system upgrade that includes Audison Forza bit amplifiers and BMW integration harnesses.

Audison R&D used an injection molded frame with graphite fibers (to increase rigidity) and a neodymium magnet for smaller size (important in the reverse magnet configuration). The 2"/50mm voice coil is the largest used in a BMW replacement woofer. The reverse magnet design has a top vent in the pole to increase thermal performance and power handling. The acoustically transparent fabric cover keeps debris out away from the speaker cone, preventing distorted sound under the seat.

Bridging 2 channels in the 4ohm APSBMW S8-4.2 delivers more power. This 4 ohm woofer is best used with bridged channels - this mode provides the lowest bass extension.
