For over 35 years, HiFonics has been synonymous with EXTREME performance and superlatives. Everyone knows: HiFonics stands for strength, power, and lots of pressure. Matching the new "ÜBER" power amplifiers from the ZEUS EXTREME ZXT series with up to 13,000 watts RMS, the matching ZEUS EXTREME ZXT subwoofers are now available. Particularly striking is the triple magnet, which is the same size in all woofers and protected by a blue boot. Its generous ferrite rings alone weigh an impressive 8.5 kg, even without the chrome-plated steel pole plates.

The newly developed "Reinforced Structure Array" surrounds for the ZXT woofers, reinforced with vertical elements, also give an idea of how much excursion the carbon-reinforced diaphragms can achieve. These remain rock-hard and are even comparatively light thanks to their triple sandwich construction. To ensure that the membranes can perform optimally, they are guided by triple Nomex spiders, as if on rails. This ensures that the membranes do not tilt, even at extreme power levels.

The Zeus subwoofers are also well equipped thermally: the 10-inch woofer already has 76 mm voice coils, and the 12-inch model even has gigantic 100 mm voice coils. With an incredible 58 mm winding height, the membranes can achieve a linear excursion of +/- 23 mm. The voice coil is made of special pi-CCAR flat wire, which is a copper-coated aluminum flat wire that saves weight and is also heat-resistant up to 240 degrees. All in all, these are ingredients that impressively demonstrate the exceptional quality of the woofers.
