ESX presents two new active down-firing subwoofers that prove to be true space savers thanks to their extremely compact dimensions. But their compact design is deceptive: thanks to high-quality components such as the new QXP high-end subwoofers and powerful 460-watt Class D bass modules, they deliver top performance and effortlessly handle even the deepest bass impulses.
Their considerable weight alone demonstrates that no compromises have been made. The flat yet solid MDF enclosures with additional internal bracing are extremely robust and effectively suppress unwanted resonances. A particularly practical feature: thanks to the removable feet, the speakers can be perfectly integrated into double cargo areas of car trunks.
The ESX speakers utilize the new, revolutionary QXP flat subwoofers – slim, high-performance drivers of the highest caliber. With an impressive excursion of ±20 mm, they deliver a dynamic range and bass performance that are almost unimaginable in this form factor. Massive die-cast aluminum baskets and powerful dual magnets ensure maximum stability and perfect diaphragm control. The result: clean, precise, and deep bass reproduction.
Housed in the high-quality QXP enclosure is the multi-award-winning POWER4 active Class-D module, which offers ample power reserves with a peak output of 1000 watts at 4 ohms. The module features a sophisticated input circuit: Thanks to the ESX-developed "EPS PRO" high-level input, it is fully compatible with modern vehicles and their sensitive diagnostic systems. The module also leaves nothing to be desired in terms of functionality: Adjustable subsonic and low-pass filters, bass boost, and a phase switch allow for precise tuning of the bass response. Signal transmission is via RCA or high-level inputs. For maximum convenience, the bass volume can be easily adjusted from the driver's seat using the included remote control.
