Mosconi Pico 8/12 - 8-Kanal Verstärker digital

With the PICO series, Mosconi is responding to the challenges in current vehicles. The PICO 8/12 DSP is a very compact 8-channel amplifier with a 12-channel DSP.  With 8x60W it can supply a complete audio system. The PICO 4 (4x90W) and PICO 1 (750W mono) models form an amplifier series for almost every application.

Audiophile claim.

The 150x115mm small housing contains the most modern technologies. Signal processing with 96kHz and 144dB dynamic range meets the HiRes audio standard. The currently fastest PWM output stages with 2.1MHz process the digital stream without additional DA conversion. The result is extremely low THD and IMD distortion and audio performance well over 40kHz.

Smart and efficient.

Up to eight analog inputs can be routed and mixed as required. For this purpose, up to three digital sources can also be connected and activated under signal control. Extensive DSP functions at inputs and outputs
allow adaptation to any source and perfect coordination of the audio system. A signal-controlled power supply unit and the efficient design make the PICO series the first choice even for limited on-board networks, such as in electric vehicles or mobile homes.

In addition to the well-known DSP functions such as equalizer, filter and time correction, the processor of the PICO 8/12 DSP can handle advanced algorithms. Matrix calculations enable correct rendering  of the center speaker. The bass reproduction of the front speakers can be increased without increasing the load. The rear speakers can expand the stage width and space in a targeted manner. Dynamic equalizers and filters can be used for each  Source can be set separately and / or depending on the volume.

Professional installation in OEM quality.

All power and signal connections are made in MOLEX® Minifit JR or Microfit. This makes industrial standards possible for audio installation - contact-safe, long-lasting, interference-free.

Signal controlled power supply:
In contrast to Class G / H, the power pack is only switched on when required (high levels) and regulated depending on the power requirement.
Benefit: The quiescent current is between 250mA and 450mA (depending on the loudspeaker wiring)

Converterless high-speed PWM output stages:
Highly efficient PWM output stages with the currently fastest carrier frequency worldwide (> 2MHz), enables HiRes audio transmission and the extremely small size.
The modulation takes place without DAC directly from the 96kHz TDM signal of the DSP, so the noise floor is close to zero and THD + N ~ 0.02% / 1W.
