Whereas in the past, people liked to install very large amplifiers and subwoofers visibly and prominently in the trunk, today's modern vehicles favor hidden components. However, these must be significantly more compact and efficient. A good and proven solution for more bass in the car are active enclosure subs, in which the integrated subwoofer is driven by an active module already installed in the enclosure at the factory. The powerful and highly efficient digital POWER4 and POWER2 retrofit modules with true RMS wattage ratings and ingenious connection features for many high-end applications now provide a remedy.

Depending on the subwoofer installed, you can choose between a 4 Ω or 2 Ω version; otherwise, the modules are identical in design. With a hefty 460 W/RMS for the 4 Ω model and 475 W/RMS for the 2 Ω model, even very power-hungry subs can be powered – and that with an impressive efficiency of up to 84%. Such modules can only achieve this through advanced Class D technology. Conventional Class A/B amplifiers are not recommended at all, as they consume much more power at high output, which causes them to overheat quickly and requires much larger cable cross-sections. Ingenious – a hidden 3-way limiter switch also allows smaller subwoofers to be optimally powered and protected from excessive power. Both modules fit into all passive enclosures from ESX, Musway, and HiFonics with Quick Connect terminals. Installation and connection couldn't be easier!

Connecting to modern car audio systems often poses a major challenge. Thanks to advanced EPS PRO technology, it is possible to simulate three different input resistances, allowing the high-level inputs to be perfectly matched to the radio in the vehicle without triggering an error diagnosis in the vehicle. On top of that, the input sensitivity can be conveniently switched from 15 to 40 volts.
