QUANTUM Q800A ACTIVE SUBWOOFER SYSTEM

The Quantum Q800A active subwoofer carries the genes of the V1100A, which was the test winner in the compact class in issue 4/2018 of Car & Hifi magazine. In the Q800A, a slightly smaller 20cm (8 inch) subwoofer works in a housing that is made from a combination of aluminum and plastic. Thanks to the ingenious construction, a long bass reflex channel could be constructed around the subwoofer in order to elicit more deep bass than usual from the woofer. The special subwoofer was trimmed for very high efficiency, but without neglecting the lowest frequency ranges. It also has an extra reinforced glass fiber membrane to withstand the high pressures inside the housing. A full Class A / B amplifier with a power of up to 200 watts provides a lot of thrust. Due to the small diameter of just 36 cm, the Q800A not only finds space in spare wheel wells without a spare wheel, but can also be fastened directly inside a spare wheel (from approx. 15 inches) with the supplied screw.
