The predecessor model V1100A  took the market by storm a few years ago and could be described as a revolution in the field of active subwoofers. This was also reflected in the trade journal Car & Hifi, where the  V1100A  received a top score of 1.1 and was named  BEST PRODUCT  award. But even proven top products can be improved, which is why the  V1100A  is now being launched as a V2 version.
 V1100Av2  , the developers pursued the goal of making something good even better. In terms of sound, nothing was left to be desired, but the previously rather large remote control needed to be smaller. So,  , in the new V2 version, the controls for the crossover, bass boost, subsonic, and phase were placed in the upper housing cover. These can be conveniently adjusted there, which has made the included remote control significantly more compact.
Furthermore, the ESX engineers equipped the speaker with a short-circuit-proof power plug that can be disconnected if necessary. This allows the spare wheel sub to be removed quickly and easily. The high-quality, high-end subwoofer with a 28 cm metal diaphragm and 64 mm voice coil, which can withstand even the high pressures in the enclosure, remained unchanged. The powerful Class A/B power amplifier with 150 watts RMS has also been retained. RCA and high-level inputs with auto-power-on function ensure the right connection.
Of course, the design of the high-quality aluminum enclosure has also been retained. One of the key strengths of the V1100A was and is its ingenious mounting solution. The second surround in the center of the subwoofer completely seals the housing. The mounting screw can also be inserted here, which secures both the spare wheel and the subwoofer bombproof. With a diameter of 36 cm and a height of just 14.5 cm, the new V1100Av2  fits in spare wheel wells from 15 inches or in vehicles without a spare wheel.
